This is a Prayer that comes directly from the mouth of Jesus to his disciples, telling them what he expects to hear when we pray. When closely examined, we see from the start to finish that it is not personalized to any human situation but it is words of substance that speaks to our existence and relationship to God. The Lord’s Prayer encourages us to faithfully Ask, Seek and Knock (Luke 11:9). We are to ask our father who is in heaven for his Kingdom to come and his will be done. This covers just about everything in this journey we call life. The Kingdom and the will of God covers a broad spectrum of this life, which God gave us. But there are times when we will encounter specific things that fall into these categories. and this is the manner he wants us to pray over them...

Are you like most persons who desire to pray, but deep down inside you struggle with knowing if you are praying effectively? (i.e. having the desired results.) It’s easier to pray fervently, because this speaks to how frequently you pray, and the passion, eagerness, and the intensity with which you pray. It’s that burning enthusiasm that drives you into the presence of God.
Effective prayer is when you get the answer to your question and accomplish that desired result. This is the fruit of a well-cultivated relationship with our father, God. What better way to know how to develop this fruit than to seek the source of prayer, God himself? I carefully read and meditated on the Lord’s Prayer (Matt. 6:9–13), and this book is what was revealed to me.
I am hoping that after reading this book, you too will be motivated to go after the loving, adoring source of prayer.

E. Aliesa Norton (born February 22, 1963). I have been an intercessor, for over fourteen years. I love to write and teach.
