III “Repent for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Mathew 3:2
There is a shift going on in our nation. Some call it a shaking. More than ever people are
coming together to examine the true purpose of their lives and taking the necessary actions to reclaim their true nature and happiness. They are seeking teachers, ministers, coaches, etc. for direction and enlightenment (forgiveness of the world and returning to a place of innocence). They struggle to rid themselves of the void within and feelings of unfulfillment. They want to feel unlimited, to feel free and valued. They sense that there is something more to life than what they see with their eyes. They are making themselves available to greater knowledge and wisdom.
Like champions they are gaining defeat over the demons of ignorance and embracing a greater truth. Like champions, they are breaking through barriers of hate and other self defeating emotions and racing toward attitudes of love, forgiveness and brotherhood. This is the end of the world as we have known it. People want to be delivered from the deceit of others and self-deceit, from injustice and their personal ignorance, from their iniquities (wickedness) and inability to discern truth. They want to be able to love more fully and fearlessly.
In James 4:2, it states that “you do not have because you do not ask”. However this applies to those who are the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ. This means that those who are believers of Christ, who believed that He shed His blood for their sins and have asked Jesus to come into their lives and their hearts, in order to receive the benefits of salvation. They can ask, because believers desire and make the effort to be in agreement with the mind of Christ, the purity of Christ and the love of Christ. For others, “you ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.” (James 4:3)
Jesus who knew no sin, was wounded for our transgressions, was bruised for our iniquities.” (Isaiah 53:5)
My salvation is in releasing false beliefs about my identity. My salvation is in accepting myself as God created me, to be fully persuaded about the perfection that God has put inside of me, which lacks for nothing. Salvation of myself and others is my main purpose. To be in Christ, so that I know wholeness, a spiritual place where nothing is missing and all needs are met. It is a gift that I only need to willing receive.
Jesus instructed us: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)
When I am outside the will of God, I am in bondage.
What are some of the other desires of these sons and daughters of God?
Certainly they ask for peace and the strength to endure. Sons and daughters of God are champion minded. The heart and mind of a champion seeks the power to overcome personal bondage in order to win peace and freedom from both external negative situations and internal obstacles. Freedom of choice for them is choosing to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and not the voice of the ego that preserves conflict and the illusion that you are separate from God. They choose to move beyond conflict to oneness, overcoming the ego to a place of oneness with the Creator, a place of completion and abundance, walking in holiness, doing God’s will and being in the fullness of joy, not feeling deprived of anything. God is good and it is His will to restore us to a place of completeness. He has given us the Holy Spirit which helps us to be in intimacy with God. The Holy Spirit is the one who knows truth and communicates with God for us. He is a partner/a friend who brings the word of God and God’s love into our hearts. “Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” (Romans 5:5)
The Lord has us covered.
“Show me Your ways, O Lord, Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all day. Remember, O Lord, Your tender mercies and Your lovingkindnesses, for they are from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions. According to Your mercy remember me. For Your goodness sake, O Lord. (Psalm 25: 4-7) “Forgetting those things that were behind, they (champions) press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 3:13-14)
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
My life experiences are the results of a series of decisions. In righteous living I position myself to hear from God. We are all wired with the capability to hear from God just as easily as we open ourselves up to hear ignorant information.
IV “To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of God.” (Rev. 2:7)
What is this tree of life? A tree of supernatural provision and healing. A tree that will not wither or fail. Our well being will be forever sustained and renewed. The eternal life! “ He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat….He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. (Rev. 2:17, 3:12)
We are given free will. So God does not impose upon that free will. He has to be invited into my life with an attitude of thanksgiving and a commitment to purify my heart and renew my mind. I have to push my way through. I have to make an effort, like anything else I want to achieve in life. Because of this gift of free will, I have so many choices in terms of how to live my life. For the most part my initial choices result from exposures and conditionings from whatever culture in which I am raised. I accept, deviate, modify, evolve or reject, etc. the lifestyle. If my choices don’t seem to work for me, I make new choices, but in some cases I can get stuck, closed minded to other choices and possibilities that just might make life more rewarding. I can be negatively yoked (bound) or blinded in some areas of my life. I have to be committed to pull down every stronghold that attempts to exhalt itself over the knowledge and promises of God. Strongholds such as thoughts against God that imprison us, so that we can’t embrace our spiritual freedom. The gifts on the inside can’t get out and the true treasures on the outside can’t get in. (See 2 Cor. 10: 4-5)
Believers in Christ position themselves for deliverance from anything in their life that is not of God. They are faithful that everything will work out for good and the word of God is their inspiration and seed. When God is the center of my faith, I am a champion. I am an ordinary person empowered to do extraordinary things in Christ. God’s people seek the realm of no limits. Being unlimited in the spirit is not the same as being unlimited in the flesh nature. In the spiritual, you can rise to your greatest potential. In the flesh (physical) you can balloon up to 600 lbs and beyond if you choose and you end up with a heavy burden from overindulgence and lustfulness. The goal is to be burdenless.
