Fight For Truth
CHAPTER 1
Love wins
Do you know what it is like to have an extremely handsome son that has a college degree from a well known Christian University choosing not to follow his life long teachings in serving Christ? My son, my only son, my hopes in passing down the family name. he chose to go his own way. I only have myself to blame for spoiling him rotten and bragging on him too much. It doesn’t matter if it’s a problem with alcohol, fornication, pride, adultery, thievery, haters of God, homosexuality, demonic activity, murder, or sorcery. All these sins will keep anyone from heaven. We are to be a people of honor. We are to show proof that God expects quality behavior worthy to be praised. What matters to me most he does not have a family of his own. Someone to care for his heartaches, someone that would love him enough to call him dad. He could have sins of omission, or the deed of the Nicolations. In Revelation 2:6 but this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitians, which I also hate. Did you catch it’s the “deeds” not the Nicolaitian. Apparently this group of people claimed some kind of status that permitted idolatry and immorality. It’s the deeds that God hated.
Do you love God?
Do you love anyone outside yourself?
I’m talking to egotistical preachers that come across as hate mongrels. It makes my skin crawl. It’s not the sin they preach against but the sinner. You can recognize their tone of superiority immediately. It makes me wonder how many sexually immoral people God has allowed them to deliver out of their bondage. They do not preach love the sinner but hate the sin. Preachers take stock. We must show ourselves worthy of God. We must work on our pride, anger, lust, foul mouth, greediness, gluttony, judging, cigarettes and the list can go on. These sins keep us from peace. The only thing that will keep us from heaven is being unsaved. All these traits will reduce the production of fruit for the Lord, come judgment day.
These judgmental preachers if they would consider the torment the parents are going through they would choose their words more wisely. These parents you blame for what’s happening in their child’s life are suffering.
The parents are saved people. Satan himself tried to scar Christ name because these people belonged to him. Their son can repent and get into the right standing with the Lord. It’s never too late. He still has to pay the consequences but he will not go to hell.
Speaking as a mother what happens to my son happens to me. We can either turn bitter or turn to Christ. I am still responding to one of those better than you preachers.
What has my son ever done to you?
Do you hate him?
Do you even talk to him?
How do you know him? Or are you so absorbed in your self righteous judgment you brush him off like he didn’t exist. He is God’s creation maybe not his child but His creation. There is that chance he belongs to Christ.
You judge him,
make fun of him,
tell degrading jokes of him. You don’t know him.
Do you want to?
I may not know him. But I love him beyond words. Do you inform him what’s new in your life?
Do you try to befriend him?
Do you send him a card?
Do you share something new you’ve learned about God?
Do you do anything to love him? Could you survive all the pressure of keeping your life a secret? Believe me your kids will not tell you what they’ve been up too. They want to look good to you.
