About the Book
The year 1944 had begun with the dark clouds of war lingering in the East and West. The planned invasion of Hitler’s Fortress Europe was in the works. The air forces of the Allies had begun their preliminary softening up of targets in France and Germany. Now Major James Nelson and his US fighter squadron are about to take to the air in a very unlikely excursion to France. The British and US planners have knowledge of information that could give the invasion forces an advantage. All they have to do is send someone to get it. Major Terry Harper of the British Air Force is assigned the task of getting in and out of France with the plans. With Nelson’s assistance in the air and the French Resistance on the ground, she prays that she pull it off. Battling the Germans and occasionally one another, Major Harper and Major Nelson find they have more in common than just a love of flying.
