Introduction
The family is the most important institution in society and in the Christian domain. It is the most important because it is the first ordained institution that was created by God at the very inception of time. In this book, we will outline and define the Biblical concepts that insure that the family is maintained and sustained in the manner in which it was originally intended.
In order to fully present this information, it is imperative that we understand the marriage has to be in accordance with God’s word before it can be expanded into a solid family base. Husband and wife must be well aware of their roles and commitments to each other, before they can become the strong parents needed to raise children in today’s society.
Satan today is making constant attacks on the family; however, his strongest attacks are coming at Christian children and adolescents. His darts can be lethal if the parents are not familiar with his wiles and prepared to battle him with the Word of God as their most powerful weapon. By attacking children, the enemy can cause dissension in a home where parental authority, guidance and discipline has not already been defined.
We seek to present information critical to insuring that the Christian family understands that they are called by God and set apart from the world to reflect the love of Christ by loving each other in a spirit-filled Godly manner. When this is done, truly, ……no weapon formed against them shall prosper.

About the Author
Rev. Dr. Ralph Huling, pastor of Saint James Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia and New Hope Baptist Church in Lumpkin, Georgia.
Dr. Huling is a Columbus native and Spencer High School graduate. He continued his education at Columbus State University, Troy State University, and received his Doctorate of Theology, Pastoral Theology from Andersonville Theology Seminary in Camilla, Georgia.
Dr. Huling is a dynamic and profound educator and theologian whose reputation spans local, state, regional, national and international levels. He is well-known, well-respected and endeared by all who are blessed to encounter him. Dr. Huling is an Adjunct Professor at two of our local colleges. Dr. Huling is married to the charming and lovely, Mrs. Dorothy R. Huling. They have been blessed with two wonderful daughters, Daisha and Nekita, both of whom are also educators. This entire family is one of major influence in this community and an exemplary model for the Christian family.
