About the Book

In the same way that our eyes focus to reveal a clear image, a gathering of Christian leaders in Canberra, Australia, served as a lens for clarity and singular focus, launching a story about encountering the person of Jesus Christ; a fascinating story that would reach believers in many nations and span decades.

With a combination of refreshingly honest storytelling and loving impartation by Noel and Barbara, this book awakens a desire for more of Jesus’s presence. The rich centerpiece is a selection of the ‘words’ that Jesus personally shared with various groups across the globe during times of worship. In equal parts dynamic, intimate, and confronting, this book delivers an outstanding exhortation to pursue ‘Only One Thing’.

About the Author

Noel and Barbara , from the time of their marriage, followed their profession in architecture. Noel was the founding partner of an award-winning practice in Sydney. In 1973 the Lord called them to establish a nation-wide prayer ministry ‘Intercessors for Australia’. Between 1984 and 2000, Noel was part of the International Fellowship of Intercessors leadership team, together with Johannes Facius, Lance Lambert and John Beckett, with Derek Prince as advisor. In 1992, Noel and Barbara called Christian leaders to come to Canberra, Australia, for three weeks to wait on Jesus in worship and prayer. This gathering opened the way for them to visit many other nations, encouraging believers to come aside to spend quality time sitting at Jesus’s feet. Noel and Barbara live in Sydney and are members of the local Anglican church. They have four children, fifteen grandchildren and a growing bevy of great grandchildren.
