Should Women Preach?

This subject is really needful in the day that we live. Some church organizations do not believe that women can preach, Pastor a church, or lead in church ministry. But what does the bible say?? I would like to clarify this issue using God’s Word the Holy Scriptures. The Lord really showed this to me because these questions came into our church office and as I began to look into God’s Word, I got really excited about it. It’s something that needs to be confirmed to all churches today that believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The subject of this book deals with the call of women to preach the Gospel and work in leadership roles within the church. So perk up the ladies, and men listen in, it applies to you too, because we have to understand spiritually, where women fit in and where men fit in.
This is important to know and to allow the grace of God the pre-eminence in every one of our lives. This is an issue in the church world and it needs to be addressed once and for all. Should women have the right to preach or teach in the church? I believe we can put this uncertainty to rest by God’s Word.

Chapter One – Ye shall know the truth

One day during a Sunday morning service some Christian folks came and picketed in front of our church because we have a woman Pastor. Their signs saying, “This church is false because women are allowed to preach.” Now we knew that wasn’t true, because of the great servant hood and compassionate heart of our Pastor. She truly is a woman of God!! God has used her in mighty ways to build churches and evangelize our world here at home and in many foreign countries. Many souls have been saved under her ministry and the ministry of the elders that work with her. No one could do this great work unless God was with them.
However this brought up a question that was in our church community. Those Christians who picketed wholeheartedly believed it was true. To answer this I began to seek the Biblical point of view to find the truth of the matter, because this issue has come up and I am concerned about the new Christians who may hear about this controversy and become confused.
The mission of the church is to win souls to Jesus Christ; those who have never heard the Gospel, that don’t understand God’s Word. It is up to us to make sure that the truth is preached so that all misconceptions are put to rest.
So let’s begin our scriptural journey. Ladies, pay close attention, and men, pay close attention; don’t tune out just because the message is on women.
The Bible says in John 8:32, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” There is so much evidence in the Bible supporting women preaching and teaching in the church that time would not allow me to cover all the facts. It is an interesting subject and I hope this challenges you to dig even more truth out. The Bible reminds us in 2 Timothy 2:15, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
