About the Author

The child is always the father to the man. As a child twice adopted Michael learned that there is always a welcome despite the view through the window. He claims no pedigrees or a life that is not common to many a man. He has studied both teaching and theology. Michael is married for over thirty years to a long-enduring wife who still delights him each day. His family of three are now raised. Michael’s Christian faith has been paradoxically watered while trekking life’s desert sands. Michael is both a school teacher and an Anglican priest. He has served for two decades in parishes of great need. From within the denominational structures Michael learned much of what he has written about in "GREAT MERCY". Motorbikes have been (and still are) a pleasing distraction for far longer than he cares to admit. Michael currently works writing two websites, soulsupply.com and MyParable.com.au

"Great Mercy is a book of modern day parables for today?s Christian. I was very excited to know that this book was being published as I?ve known the author for many years now and am blessed daily by his Soul Snacks.

When I started reading it, I was instantly reminded of Pilgrims Progress.

This 115 page book is set up in 3 easy to read sections.
This book reminds us of the value of a true relationship with the Lord as it discusses how the characters ?Ritual, Righteousness, Pride, Good-works and others? are main players in today?s Christianity.

This book would be perfect for small groups or any group discussion setting as well as a personal devotional that reminds you to take a deep look at your own heart. There are questions provided for you that can be discussed or the leader of the group can add their own.

You?ll want to read this book slowly and deliberately so that you can examine your heart for the Lord as you build your personal relationship.

So many people try to get God to love them by following all of the rules and doing good works. We forget that God doesn?t love us because of anything we can do or don?t do, but HE loves us because HE is God and God is love. God chooses to love us in spite of ourselves. We don?t deserve it and never will, but because of His Great Mercy, we get to treasure this gift.
