Theodore looked down and noticed that God had placed him over what seemed to be an ordinary little town not very special at all. It seemed to have no special people, buildings, or purpose. Then Theodore asked himself "Why am I so different? Why couldn't I be like the other stars? And, why did God put me over such a place?"

Theodore is a lot like all of us. This little star was uniquely gifted by God, but he doesn’t see that gift as a blessing. Instead Theodore feels rejected and alone because he is “different”. When Theodore recognized his difference is God’s gift, he experienced God’s purpose for his life. The same is true for each of us.
About the Author
Aaron has worked with children for many years. He raised two sons, has two granddaughters and has taught young children in Sunday School, AWANA and at Bible Study Fellowship. Aaron’s desire is to help children embrace the unique gifts God has given them. While these gifts sometimes make a child feel “different” from the world, they always bring glory to God. Theodore’s gift certainly did that, as he announced the birth of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
