About the Author
Melanie has been fascinated with rhyming words since she was a little girl observing her dad writing funny poems for her mom, and reading her grandmother’s not-so-funny but inspirational verses in their hometown newspaper. Melanie began writing for her school newspaper in the fourth grade, and has been composing delightful sonnets for family and friends ever since. Melanie grew up in the “Fair and Friendly City” of New Albany, Mississippi, and now resides in Spring Hill, Tennessee, with her husband of 27 years, one energetic 7th grader and their beloved Soft Coated “Whimsical” Wheaten Terrier - Nash! Twinkle Go the Lights Below is her first children’s book.
