Black Paper stated to White Paper, “Remember a human ladder occurs when someone climbs on someone else for added height. I am unwilling to do this again! We did this last year, I broke my glasses and Yellow’s dress sleeve ripped. I am not doing this!” Suddenly Yellow Paper started singing, “HOW I GOT OVER!” White Paper had enough by now and punched Yellow just for laughing and singing because he was serious. For no reason, the rest of them jumped in and started fighting and rolling around on the ground like a big ball of dirty paper.
They looked up and saw Nana looking over her glasses holding onto her tablet, taking pictures, and recording probably for evidence against them. The children got up wiping off their clothes and bunched together staring at Nana. She stopped recording and taking pictures, looked over her glasses, and asked the children, “Are you finished?” No one said anything and then White Paper opened his mouth to say something, but before anything could come out of his mouth Nana said, “Child Listen.” He said, “But I didn’t say anything.” Nana repeated, “I said, ‘Child Listen!’”
All the children were very quiet as they walked up to the door to meet the other grandmas. They were a little afraid of Nana with all her devices slinging from left to right, up and down, and she was able to use all of them in a very short time frame to capture evidence. She took pictures, video, and typed notes on a tablet all in a few minutes while drinking a glass of water. The children looked puzzled and wondered where the water came from.
Red walked up to the door before Nana, hesitant to ring the doorbell. He could hear the women talking behind the door. The children could not make out what they were saying. Nana did not say a word, she was still observing the children and she would not dare let them get behind her. Before Red rang the doorbell, the children placed their heads up to the door to try to hear what they were talking about on the other side; they forgot that Nana was still behind them observing.
One of the children said, “Oh no! All of them are in there and they sound like they are hotter than fish grease. I thought they wanted to talk to us about character. From what we hear, they sound like some characters.” “I do not want to go in there,” one of the children stated.
