Blessed is he that is done with himself, for that is when God shows up.
When you come to the end of yourself, then comes the beginning of God.
When you come to the end of your rope, that is when God shows you the grace card. For His mercies are new every morning.
If only you knew a walk around your apartment could change the rest of your life,
will you take that walk? Would you get up from that despair and walk? We were created for movement and every time we are idle, we miss our divine appointment. Let us go on this walk of faith for God has a divine appointment for you. From a state of despair, I obeyed the word of God when I flipped my devotional opened. It said to me, arise from this despair. I got up and started walking around my apartment. Then lo and behold, I collided with the woman God will use mightily in my life. Answers to questions I have had about my life all these years. This has been a wake-up call for me, to trace my life from birth and see how God has been gracious to me through the people He brought into my life. It has always been a series of the goodness of God and His favor upon my life, that led me to write this book. This book is about the saving grace of God. Through moments of reflection I have come to see how good God has been to us. And to each and everyone of us God us been really good to us. If only we will count our blessings today. Moving from Africa to America is a huge change. Loss of family and loved ones. A new culture comes with a huge adjustment. I thought I could do it by myself. But there was a point in my life that I was so lost and I could not find my way. That was the very moment God showed up. I was raised in a Christian home, been to church all my life. I have experienced miracles. But Jesus Christ became so real to me, the day I had lost all hope. I was so dead in misery and in a state of despair. That was the day God spoke to me. I heard these words, this is your last breath to call on the name of the Lord. I flipped my devotional opened. It said to me ‘arise from this despair’, that very moment I took that step of faith. I took a walk through the beautiful cascade apartment, few steps into my walk, I collided with the woman God will use to change the rest of my life. When I moved from Ghana to the United States, I never anticipated the level of challenges I will go through. But through it all God has been gracious. And I pray this story will be a beckon of hope to you, my cherished reader. I pray reading this book, you will arise from any despair. For God has an appointment for you. That appointment is just waiting for you to take that step of faith and walk.

When I laid hands on Sheila Walsh book “the longing in me” I could clearly identify her story with what God had done in her life. About the Author
Joana Okudzeto Biekro, a follower of Jesus Christ, attended the University of Cape Coast in Ghana and earned a bachelor’s degree in English and history. She pursued a master’s degree in Christian counseling from Liberty University with a major in life coaching. Joana is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. She is a wife and a mother who now lives in the United States. She worships at Grace City Church Irvine CA and serves with Grace City kids. Come join us serve the Lord together.
