This devotional presents a variety of small and large land birds and small and large waterfowl. Volume II also includes a few animals from wilderness places. These photos have been taken by a portrait photographer who rarely leaves home without his camera and gear. Most of these photos have been taken in New Mexico, New Jersey, Florida, British Columbia, Wyoming, Montana, Long Island, NY, his backyard in Duanesburg, NY, and other remote places. We have been praying that these devotionals will be a delight to the eye, mind and heart of each of our readers. Preparing these devotionals will be worth it all if God gets the glory.
Whether you are a nature lover, birder, photographer, devotional collector, God lover or God beginner, we hope you will experience God’s presence on every page as you meditate on His word and His miraculous creation. About the Book
Shirley Andrews has brought forth the greatness of our God through the visualization of nature; through the lives and behaviors of some of God’s most colorful creatures, birds! Shirley brings together her words of wisdom and the power of her prayers as she shares with each new description. About the Author
Shirley is a graduate of Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY, and has a master’s degree from Crane School of Music in Potsdam, NY. She taught elementary public school music for 31 years. Most of those years were in the Scotia-Glenville School District. She also taught music education classes at Schenectady County Community College. Shirley enjoyed her career in teaching and now enjoys leading the Wesley Choir in hymn sings at the Embury Apartments at the Wesley Community in Saratoga Springs, NY. She has two children and two grandchildren.
After retirement and the death of her husband, Shirley pursued a second career as a Certified Lay Minister in the Adirondack District of the United Methodist Church (UMC). She has held leadership positions at Porter Corners UMC, Ballston Spa UMC and led worship at Woodlawn Commons Enriched Living in the Wesley Community in Saratoga Springs. Her passions include writing worship songs and leading worship and small group bible studies. She now has added a new passion for inspirational writing. This is her first attempt at writing devotional books.
