About the Author

Reuben Lachmansingh is a graduate in Biology of the University of Toronto and an Honorary Companion of the University of Guelph. He has worked as a civil servant, science teacher, award-winning motelier, and entrepreneur. In his free time, he has travelled the world, practised taekwondo, and played in league as well as Oldies International cricket tournaments, earning several trophies and medals.

"A well written novel covering much historical facts about the reinvention of slavery. The British were quite clever to march into India and capture the entire nation hardly firing a shot, but manipulated the people to enslave each other while making off with the wealth of the country. Mr. Latchmansingh wrote so eloquently bringing back much memories of my native Guyana (the birds, vegetation, and much more), evoking emotions ranging from sadness, anger, laughter and even disgust. He is a great storyteller and I can just imagine him sitting around a campfire with friends talking and laughing till the wee hours of the night. Throw in a bottle of ""bushrum' for the boys. Good Luck my friend. I enjoyed you book. "
