My name is Brad Benton and I am the father of two. Jarrett, my oldest, is currently a student at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He is an amazing musician and has one of the largest hearts I have ever seen. I love this young man with a love that goes beyond words. I am also the father of Lindsay. I, along with my entire family, lost Lindsay at the age of seventeen. On August 21, 2016 she was in a severe traffic accident that caused a traumatic brain injury. After a week in the hospital, a week in which she never regained consciousness, we lost our Lindsay. What you are about to read is not a normal book, it does not tell a continuous story. This book is made up of one years’ worth of blogs. Blog’s I began to write as therapy for myself and to try and help others understand how a father copes with grief. This book of blogs does tell the story of how a young seventeen-year-old girl, through her own death, saved and changed the lives of so many.
Thank you for interest in “A Fathers Grief.” If you should decide to purchase, a percentage of the sales will go to support the Lindsay M. Benton Foundation and it’s endeavors to continue the legacy my Lindsay Lou and the charities she worked with.
