Once long ago, in a faraway land
was a king named Darius who needed a hand
with ruling his kingdom which was given to him,
for alone his chances of succeeding were slim.
To protect his kingdom from suffering loss,
Darius chose Daniel to be a boss.
He chose two more bosses to serve with Danny
and soon Dan's predicament became quite uncanny.

About the Book
As the previous story by this author was written, The Rescue of Daniel is part humorous yet completely serious. It is the story of a man who refused to bow down before anyone other than the God of his faith—how that steadfast faith led to the ultimate exaltation of his Lord. This is a lighthearted recounting of the sixth chapter of Daniel.
About the Author
Born and raised in northwestern Pennsylvania, Kay Bretton graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with a degree in elementary education. She later received her master’s in counseling from Liberty University in Virginia. The majority of her adult life has been spent in Florida where she has been devoted to working with children, teens, and adults in a variety of educational and counseling settings. With a lifetime interest in writing, she has a deeply held belief that it is important for children to read, or have read to them, stories that reinforce Christian principles and values. She believes that rhyming and humor greatly enhance the process of learning and committing to memory, and she has therefore chosen that format for her stories.
