About the Book

What does it mean when someone says that you are his best friend? To be a best friend is a privileged position. Cultivate and develop fine qualities, which would make you into a wonderful person. The following is a list of the qualities of a true friend:

•Accepting: Accept the person for who he is.

•Appreciative: A good friend is rare, so appreciate what you have.

•Confidential: Keep personal information he shares with you to yourself.

•Considerate: Think of the other person’s feelings. Treat him the same way you want him to treat you.

•Honest: Be honest with your friend; do not be deceitful.

•Respectful: Respect your friend’s opinions and tastes.

•Supportive: Be happy for your friend when he is successful. Comfort him when he is sad.

•Trustworthy: Your friend should be able to trust you.

Are you the person with these similar attributes? A true friend adds value to his friend by encouraging him to rise higher. He knows everything about his friend, and he likes and respects him, regardless of his strengths and weaknesses. A true friend will not envy the successes of his friend, but he would be sincerely happy for him. Be the type of friend you would like for yourself.

The Best Friend 2 will show you how to become the best friend anyone would like to have.

About the Author

Maria Marchan was born and bred on the beautiful twin islands of Trinidad and Tobago. As a young child, Maria Marchan was introduced to the Bible. As a teenager, she started studying the Bible, which has been going on for more than thirty years. Although she has worked in administration for twenty years, in her private time she taught a Bible study at her Sunday school. After resigning from her job, she extended her Bible studies to a public school in her neighborhood.

Maria especially enjoys working with children and teenagers. She believes that while children are still young, if she teaches them the biblical principles of life, they will go in the right direction. She has observed that many children do not have the privilege of having anyone to inculcate godly values in their lives. Her desire is to instill a love for God and His Word into children. Maria’s bubbly and fun-loving personality adds to her skills, while working with the young ones.

She also reads books published by Christian authors, like Joyce Meyer’s “Peace,” “Expect A Move of God….Suddenly” and “Do it Afraid”; Joel Osteen’s “Your Best Life Now”, “Become a Better You” and “I Declare”; Roy Hicks’s “Healing Your Insecurities”; and Iyanla Vanzant’s “Peace from Broken Pieces”, and books by other writers.

Maria is the author of “The Best Friend”. She did a course at the Rape Crisis Society of Trinidad and Tobago and studied child psychology at the University of the West Indies, Open Campus, Trinidad, and Tobago. Maria is a preschool teacher and does volunteer work with young children, along with their parents/guardian.
