She said that God's love is like holding the raindrops in your hands. One cannot just contain the raindrops in one's hand. It will overflow. That is how immeasurable and unending God's love is. We can only hold that much because it would never stop and end.
He asked me what he should do. If it would be better for him to break up with her. It was hard to answer because I still love him, he was my first love and I dreamed of spending the rest of my life with him like what we had promised before. I wanted to tell him that I am still here.
But I didn't do that. I told him to remember the first day he loved her every time he would feel that his love for her fades away. He asked me if we could see each other but I opted not. My heart seemed to shatter into tiny pieces again. I wanted to see him but I was not sure if my heart was ready. And I didn't want to hurt anyone. I knew that feeling. I knew that it was the right thing to do. Maybe we're not really meant to be. He was not my fairy tale.
That scene flashback in my mind. But as I looked back, if given another chance, I would still do the same. I may not end up with my first love but I had found an everlasting love in God. During those times, I came to know God more and more. And the more I seek to know God, my heart started to change. I understood the true meaning of love. Love is a sacrifice. Love is not about me, him or us. It's really about God. I knew I found an unfailing Love. And this love never ends.
The missing piece of my heart was not with Daniel. It was with God all along. He was holding the missing piece. And I didn't have to wait anymore.
