… God is the God Who makes a way where there is no way! He will show Himself strong on your behalf. He will never leave you or forsake you. He loves you with an everlasting love and you can cast all your care on Him for He always cares for you! …
… One thing that helps you to remember how much you mean to the Lord is the fact that He knows your name! That’s right, the God who created everything and even now upholds all things by the Word of His Power – He knows your name. And when He calls to you it isn’t “hey you” or “what was your name again?” No, He calls you by your name …
… Every morning you can wake up to the Lord’s presence and His Word speaking to you – do not turn away. Acknowledge His voice and, even if yesterday wasn’t exactly a perfect day and you were not the perfect child of God, you have a new day to do things God’s way! It starts all over again…
… Everything that God has planned for you is ahead, not behind. If you spend your time in the past then you are not living life; life is always moving forward. Your life is ahead of you. Money you can save and store up or you can spend; but time, well, you can’t really put time in a bottle now can you? Time has a way of slipping away from the present into the past.
Hope is ahead of you – the Lord is seeing to that. So, what is your part in all of this? Make the most of every moment. Don’t try to live in the past – that works about as well as trying to eat yesterday’s manna. Also, go through each day remembering the importance and preciousness of the gift of life and live it to the fullest.
Ready or not, life moves on so don’t let it move on without you! Press forward, onward with the Lord and if you fall down, get up and run on toward the mark of the high calling. The God of your salvation is the God of your future – you can put your trust and confidence in Him…
… The amazing thing about the width and length and depth and height of God’s love for you is that no matter how big our past failures are, His love is bigger! Maybe you sometimes feel like God could not love you because of one thing or another or maybe a multitude or reasons that you are always being reminded of by the accuser of the brethren. God’s love is bigger…
… Which do you think would be easier – to say positive things about yourself and your life in general or to say negative things? Well, interestingly enough, it seems the answer is generally the latter.
We should be speaking about ourselves what God says about us instead of sometimes saying just the opposite. The Psalmist gives us some guidance. For instance, God is good and He made you in His image so, does that mean you have the potential for good things? It sure does!
God’s mercy is His favor towards you even when you do not deserve it so, does that mean that even when you don’t feel like you are up for the Christian of the Year award, His goodness and mercy are still following you all the days of your life? It sure does!
If you are the redeemed of the Lord then say so! Don’t talk about yourself according to the way you feel about you - talk about yourself the way your Redeemer talks about you. Talk about His goodness towards you and His wonderful works He has done for you. Talk about how He satisfies and fills your soul with goodness! …
… When you are powerless and cannot go on in your own strength, that’s a reminder that it is time to get plugged in to the true source of your strength and power – the Lord God Almighty. Then you will find your strength being renewed. Does that mean the storm goes away? All of a sudden, life becomes so easy you can press on even if you have no strength? No, that means you are ready to “mount up with wings like eagles”. You don’t try to avoid the storm or pretend there is no storm, you let the winds of adversity carry you above the storm on your faith in God’s promises.
The Lord will lift you up when you wait upon Him and put your trust in His strength and His faithfulness. He may not take away the storm but He will carry you above the storm and carry you through to the other side. When you put your trust in the Lord, you will find yourself where the eagle flies! …
