About the Book

Some people think there is no God—the earth and the events in it are all coincidence. However, the names of the stars in the constellations tell a story that was intentionally placed there long before the birth of Jesus. The Story in the Stars explores this story as Pudding, a mother sheep, guides her lambs Mousse and Tapioca through star names from ages past. Watercolor illustrations and Bible scriptures associated with star names accompany each constellation; young readers are encouraged to point out stars on the illustrations. The charming watercolor illustrations of Pudding, Mousse, and Tapioca are based on actual sheep raised by the author’s daughter at their rural home. Readers, young and old, will be encouraged to gaze into the heavens and join the lambs in finding new meaning hidden in the stars.

About the Author

Margo, author and illustrator, lives on a small farm in Idaho with her husband Russ, five elderly sheep, three cats and a cockatiel. It was here that her daughter bred and raised fine wool sheep as 4H and FFA projects. Pudding, Mousse and Tapioca, featured in this book, were among the small herd. As a mother, Margo found that her toddler daughter played at being an animal and responded well when Margo pretended to be a mother animal. Thus, Pudding, a favorite ewe, became the narrator of The Story in the Stars. Margo earned a BA in Christian Humanities from Pacific Christian College (now Hope University) and a MBA from University of Oregon. When she read The Witness of the Stars by E.W. Bullinger, she learned that the stars still carry the names from ancient languages and that these names tell a timeless story, The Story in the Stars.
