We must remember that Satan is chained in the Bottomless Pit for 1,000 years and will not be able to influence the Millennium in any way (see Rev. 20:3). There willfinally be “peace on earth” and Christ will enforce it. The demonsare bound as well. There cannot be any peace on earth as long as there isany Satanicor demonic forces still existing on the earth. That would certainly spoil God’s supreme purpose of 1,000 years of bliss on earth.

Also we need to take careful note that the Millennium takes place on this earth as it is today, albeit with some alterations by Christ:
A. There will be at least a partial reversal of the curse placed upon the animal kingdom, (due to Adam’s sin, Gen. 3:14), (see Isa. 11:6-9).
B. The animals will return to the Edenic condition of vegetarianism: horses, wolves, leopards, goats, lions, cows, bears, oxen, cobras, donkeys, and jackals (see Isa. 11:6-9; Rev. 19:11,14; Isa. 30:24; Isa. 35:7).
C. The enmity and fear between animals and men today will be removed and there will be perfect harmony (see Isa. 11:9).
(This writer believes if you want to have a pet lion and snuggle up with him, or her, you will be able to.)
D. The wilderness and the desert will bloom (see Isa. 35:1,2).
E. There will be ample rain in the normally dry areas and plenty of food for the animals (see Isa. 30:23,24; 35:7).
Whether or not Christ will also temper the atmosphere with regard to violent weather (tornados, hurricanes, etc.) we don’t know. Christ did “govern” storms on the Sea of Galilee. Like a close colleague and friend of mine likes to say, “We’ll just have to wait and see.” The type of government that will prevail will be a Theocracy—a government directed by God through His Son Jesus Christ. All the previous legislatures and congresses of the world will be done away with. Some Bible scholars and theologians suggest that King David may act as a regent or sub-ruler of Jerusalem itself under the authority of Christ (see Jeremiah 30:9; Ezekiel 37:24,25). Regarding this issue William R. Newell states emphatically, “David is not the Son of David. Christ, as Son of David, will be King; and David, His father after the flesh, will be prince, during the Millennium”

The goal of this book is to help you discover concepts in the Bible that you didn’t even know were there and to also help you to better understand them.
I truly believe this book will also be very inspirational for you and that you will want to go out and share the new things you have learned with other friends and family. And what you do to help someone else to understand will become better solidified in your own mind.
As you endeavor to know God’s Word better, He will help you to understand things you have not understood in the past. Remember, He is still the God of all wisdom and knowledge. Many blessings to you as you pursue Him; He has nuggets of gold waiting for you.
About the Author
John Moore was born in Boston, Massachusetts and raised in Arlington, Mass. His college years were spent at the University of Massachusetts and Lancaster Bible College. He graduated from LBC in 1974 with a BS degree in Theology and Education. He has taught in several private Christian high schools from Maine to Minnesota and conducted several choirs and chorales. He now resides with his wife Lois in Norfolk, VA.
