Krestovaya was a young mermaid. She enjoyed life and was very happy.
One day the deacons of the deep donned their scuba suits and visited the mermaids. They talked to Krestovaya and she got saved.
The mermaids were given bibles. The pages had to be laminated for use underwater.
Krestovaya was reading her bible when she discovered, to her horror, that there was no sea in heaven. How could she go to heaven if there is no sea there?
She started swimming about in a panic. One of the deacons of the deep caught up with her and asked what was the matter. He explained that she would get a glorified new body in heaven and that everything would be OK.
She made a happy mermaid sound (which is somewhere between a porpoise and a parrot), gave him a kiss (a wet kiss), and we end with happiness.

James Morrin is a paleontologist. He discovered the love dinosaurs. He lives on a giant fossil called Florida. He does not know why God gave him the stories found in Strange Christian Tales, although he believes making a contribution to the world of Poe and Shelley is a cool blessing.
