I’m discussing keys here because they’re necessary to unlock all kinds of things. Many who read the Bible think that it’s as if God put many sections of scripture under lock, and we need the key. This is true regarding the prophetic sections of the Bible and is especially true about end-times prophecy, called eschatology.
We need the keys God gave to us in the text of these first three chapters of Revelation. They will help us understand the prophetic implications and applications of what Jesus said through the apostle John to those seven churches of Asia and to us today.
Proverbs 25:2 (GWT) reads, “It is the glory of God to hide things but the glory of kings is to investigate them.” This is an interesting verse. It’s like the child’s game in which parents hide money (or something else valuable) in envelopes all over a home and tell their children to find as many envelopes as possible within twenty minutes. In the same way, it seems God has designed His Word in such a way as to be discovered. It’s like a treasure hunt for jewels, gems, gold, and silver.

About the Book
The Rise of Laodicea is a Biblical Investigation, of sorts, that seeks to uncover the Prophetic Nature of the first three chapters of the book of Revelation. It seeks to uncover the “pre-history” that Christ was revealing about future Church History and how it has actually taken place over the centuries. This “uncovering” leads to the very last church, prophetically, the Church of Laodicea. How is this last church related to what we’ve seen in the last 50 years, leading up to today?
About the Author
Pastor Andy Thomas is a husband, dad, pastor, software engineer, and avid beach goer. He was born again in Christ through a very dramatic dream that revealed to him that his life was heading toward the Lake of Fire and Christ, Himself, in the Dream saved him. He has since, surrendered to Christ and the call to Pastoral Ministry until Christ calls Him home.
