The Bible is full of stories of people whose lives were changed by the power of God. Some changes were instantaneous, and some came through a process of time. But all worked for good for the individuals to the glory of God. Transformation begins immediately at the very moment an individual invites Jesus into his or her heart and asks Him to be his or her Lord and Savior. But I dare say that the process never stops. It is ongoing! God never stops working in us. His purpose and desire for us is for Christ to be truly formed in us so that we can have a future and a hope (Jer. 29:11). So as this change begins to occur on the inside of that individual (within the heart, that is), God sees, and God knows. “For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart” (1 Sam. 16:7).
