RIVER OF LIFE
There is a river that lies in the mist
Some find it well, though others fail
Some walk along its banks
Though never take a full drink
Even though healing and life are beneath
It is a river that all must cross
No matter the plite we pursue
Some drink for its knowledge
Others to be consumed of its virtue
But all will have come to take a sip
To some it is but a far reach
Yet to others a days journey
Though we are all in its mist
IF ONLY I HAD LISTENED
There I was in the mist of the storm
Seemed all things in life were blown past
And beyond my grasp
I feud with the wind just to hang on
Quickly approaching me, were my enemies, traps, and snares
I was bombarded by the mass confusion and disillusions
With my head bowed down
As I explained it all to God
Quietly God looked upon me
As He listened on
Day after day, I looked for you to rescue me
To calm the storm, to arrest my fear
Now that I sit all worn and torn
What will ye say now!
With compassion God spoke
I was there; warning you before the storm
Come in from their worldliness called I unto you
Before the wolves devour you whole
I sent my light to guide you out
But you neither looked my way, nor answered me
More than deliver you
If you had listened
I could have spared you
