I Crossed Over is the story of my life being married to an unbeliever. It chronicles a wife's prayer journey that spanned more than 40 years and gives a true account of a remarkable walk of faith that triumphed in victory. Along this odyssey I discovered my love for my faithful God deepened as I learned to worship Him from a place deep in my heart where only He could reach; a place of passionate devotion meant for Him alone. Through the years God taught me many life lessons. He taught me that His purpose in my life was greater than all my disappointments. God would not allow me to give up, give in or give out. This book tells the story of how I cried out to God and trusted Him to hear and answer my prayers through the ups and downs of our marriage.
My path was fraught with stumbling blocks and hurdles to overcome. Friction and failures and tears of frustration marked my learning to wait on God with a faith determined to trust His perfect timing. Through it all He taught me how to survive the trials of a husband's unbelief; lessons that I learned on my knees and at His throne.
Most of all it is the account of God's amazing grace and His faithfulness to me. He comforted me when I was weary, and when my heart ached He taught me to seek His face. When I was inept and I questioned His timing, He encouraged me through His Word as I waited with an expectant heart. His precious Holy Spirit interceded on my behalf with words I could not understand: And when I was depleted of words to pray, He prayed for me. Through the Spirits guidance I experienced fresh encounters with God I would never have known had I not stayed the course God had set for me.
In the end He opened my husband's eyes to see his need for the Savior. God chose the day and the time when Eddie would cross over from death to eternal life with Jesus. My husband lived as a born again believer exactly two weeks before God called him into His presence. The title I Crossed Over came unknowingly from his own lips on the day he crossed over. Although I was saddened to yield the love of my life into the loving hands of the savior, my heart also leapt with "joy unspeakable and full of glory" to know I would see him again in glory.
As you read my book I pray you will be encouraged to seek the Lord with renewed faith and determination to pray unceasingly. I pray you will find in these pages the desire to draw closer to our Lord as you seek His joy for your journey and His strength to endure. I pray you will be inspired to victorious prayer as you pray for the soul of someone you love. I pray you will thrill to the story of a wife's profound love for her husband, never ceasing to pray for him. I pray you will discover the power of prayer that will transform your life when you seek His face and learn to wait on Him and trust His timing. And I pray you will remain steadfast in prayer until the day your loved one will Cross over from death to life everlasting.

Alice Moss is a Bible teacher, retreat speaker, workshop leader, and worship-based prayer facilitator with a unique ability to reach people with her genuine, enthusiastic love for Jesus. She offers wise biblical counsel to women based on a mature and clear understanding of God’s Word.
Alice has served in women’s ministry for over 30 years and has led countless groups and events on the issues of worship, prayer, and discipleship, to create a deeper understanding of the Lord and their Christian faith. Though she currently resides in the Sacramento, CA area, Alice has ministered all across North America and overseas as well. Alice is a voracious reader, an avid fan of her favorite NBA Cavaliers and NFL 49er teams, has an over-the-top addiction to shoes, does water aerobics regularly, and loves old Victorian and pre-industrial movies. She is a widow, the mother of four and a grandmother of ten.
