Sister to Sister

When John and Jillene Simms relocated from North Carolina to Nevada they were looking forward to some quiet time in the desert. They thought the dry desert air would improve John’s health and be an enormous relief from shoveling snow in the winter. bigEager to leave North Carolina before the worst part of winter hit, they moved in December 2010. The move took courage and faith in God because the movement in the housing market had not been good and they moved with their house in North Carolina remaining on the market. They received several offers for the house, but they would continue to fall through escrow because of the bad economy. People who wanted to buy the house would not be able to get the loans they needed. God did show his faithfulness in the sale of the North Carolina home and with His perfect timing a home, that met all their needs, was on the market in Nevada and in two weeks they owned it. The health issues that hit Jillene soon after the move were to take their faith in God to higher levels than they had ever imagined. “Sister to Sister” A Survivors Guide is broken up into three sections. The first, is Jillene’s story of her fight with breast cancer and the miracles that god performed on her behalf. The second section is a devotional. It is the author’s hope and prayer that this part of the book will encourage others to lean on scripture as she did. “Sister to Sister”, has been kept small on purpose so it is easy to carry or keep on a bed side table. It is a quick way to look up scripture that is needed at the spur of the moment. Last but not least, the third section of the book is a journal for the reader. Journaling is an easy way for the reader to remember how God helped them during their struggles.
