About the Book
Revelation is about the Lord Jesus Christ of the past, present, and future events. Jesus is called “the Beginning” and “the Last” of all history. On page 6, I have provided a puzzle as an outline to all of Revelation. Study guides after commentaries for each chapter provide answers to difficult verses.
All attempts for practice applications are made for believers and warnings to those in doubt of God’s stated future.
About the Author
I will take this time to introduce a short history of how I found God. Growing up attending a mainline denominational church, I believed the Lord Jesus Christ died for the sins of the world (head knowledge).
After attending college for a year, I could have floated an aircraft carrier with the beer I had consumed. On December of 1967, after attending a floor keg party, I returned to my dorm and promptly discharged food in the bathroom lavatory. In this humbling circumstance, I prayed, “God, I do not know you, but I do want to know you.” Thirty days later, Phil Wangburgh, a person who lived on my floor and was in a Bible study with the Navigators and Navigator staff member Doctor Bob Bremmner, explained in detail the bridge illustration (found on next page). The illustration showed how the Lord Jesus Christ died for my personal sin. I needed to agree with God about my sinful actions and thoughts and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and Lord of my life.
I had Phil and others convinced that I was a believer, but I really only had head knowledge , not heart knowledge (Romans 10:9,10. Phil was like a bloodhound from Heaven inviting me to prayer meetings, Bible studies, and a week-end Navigator Bible conference. After playing football with some guys on the floor, I needed a shower. God spoke to me that the dirt on my body was like the sin in my life and only the Lord Jesus Christ could cure my sin problem (I Peter 3:18). . Phil’s persistence resulted in my accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Savior on April 4, 1968.
Please take this time to seek God with all your heart (mind, will, and emotions) and be willing to turn from your sin (actions, spoken words, and thoughts that offend God) admit your need to Him and receive God’s complete forgiveness (Hebrews 10:14,17,18) through Jesus Christ.
I graduated from college with a B.A. in economic and business. I taught at a General Baptist school for five years using A.C.E. and ABeka Christian curriculum. I also started a master’s program in teaching at Western Michigan University.
I have enjoyed Bible studies and Bible conferences my entire Christian life.
I have been a church member of Wauconda Free Church of Wauconda,Illinois , serving on several board positions including outreach and physical plant.
I am asked many times, “What formal Bible training do you possess?” I have a B. A. degree from the LORD Jesus Christ meaning, I am Born Again according to John3:3. I also have a M.D. degree meaning God is masterfully working on my life from one degree of glory to another as stated in II Corinthians 3:18. Finally I have a Ph.D. meaning Jesus is “the Great Physician” working miracles on me as recorded in Luke 5:31.
