Never has a pole been such a blessing. It may have totaled Jessica's car, but this metallic monolithic monster stopped Jessica from destroying her life, which also was careening out of control. Not only did the accident itself nearly prove fatal, but Jess' alcohol level of 0.30 was dangerouly close to being lethal all by itself. And that's not the first time that her blood alcohol level reached such extremes. Jessica had a drinking problem. Like many college students, especially freshmen, she was experimenting with her freedom to choose. Unfortunately, she chose poorly.

About the Book
It’s every golfer’s dream and every person’s desire: a mulligan—a second chance, a do-over. Every golfer longs for the opportunity to correct an errant shot without being penalized. When a golfer takes a mulligan, the first shot doesn’t count. He gets a second swing to correct his mistake. In the game of life, we all want the same kind of do-over. We long to correct a poor choice, to rectify a miserable mistake, to eradicate a careless act. We want a mulligan of grace, a second chance based strictly on God’s unmerited favor and his unconditional love.
The Pole is the instrument God used to save Jessica Faith Jones from herself and to save others from making the same tragic mistake of drinking and driving.
About the Author
Peron Jones has a journalism degree from SMU and a masters of divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He served as a youth and collegiate minister. He now coaches swimming at Prestonwood Christian Academy and Royal Oaks Country Club.
