About the Book

Willy Watermelon: Fruit of Peace teaches children to be peaceful through all things. By using God’s Word as the foundation and giving it a fun rhythmic quality, Willy Watermelon gives children an understanding of how important it is to be filled with Peace, as one of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

Willy Watermelon is the 3rd of the collection of 9 books that take a fun and honest look at the Fruit of the Spirit. Willy illustrates the lesson of peace, while his “Fruity Friends” teach the lessons on the other eight fruits. This series of teaching books show children God’s heart and His desire for our spirit to be filled with LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS, and SELF-CONTROL.

The complete collection of Fruity Friends includes:
• Stella Strawberry: Fruit of Love
• Priscilla Pineapple: Fruit of Joy
• Willy Watermelon: Fruit of Peace
• Leo Lemon: Fruit of Patience
• Gabriel Grape: Fruit of Kindness
• Barnabas Banana: Fruit of Goodness
• Charlene and Charlotte Cherry: Fruit of Faithfulness

About the Author

Yira Jones is the creator and author of the Fruity Friends books series. She is a dedicated wife to her husband, Marlon, and mom to her three angels on earth, Jase, Anaya, and Zailey. Yira was inspired to create this collection after a year long bible study she attended focused on the Fruit of the Spirit. God impressed it upon her heart to write children's books and thus, Fruity Friends was born!

With an extensive background in corporate sales and many years as a stay at home mom, Yira never imagined that she would be traveling down this road, as a writer. She is loving the adventure, while amazed and humbled at God's plan, purpose, and creativity working through her. Her biggest aspiration is not only to share God's word and love through these books, but to bless and bring hope in a mighty way to children all around the world through it. Her motto is: To Him be the glory!
