SIT’N AND ROCKIN
I’d like to sit on the porch,
in a rocker
and talk to Jesus.
I know some answers
but pitifully few.
Thank you for your teaching
and your Presence in my life.
But
how do others cope
without you in terror and strife,
illness, hunger and war?
How can they go through
each and every day
with only themselves to rely on?

Be kind to everyone
you never know what pain lies in their heart.
What a surprising revelation
when came the realization
that some people never grow up.
