The basic idea is that someone hears about Jesus and pushes it off until the last second. Then right before their last breath, they repent of their sins and believe in Jesus. They did wrong their whole life. It doesn’t seem right that God would let someone get away with that and then let them into heaven. Answer this one wrong and you’ll look like a fool. And you’ll make God look the same way. When someone says this, you want to help them understand this: God may not actually give them that last second chance. It’s arrogant to think that we will have time to sit there and ponder the other side as our car is crashing or we’re having a heart attack. Or we’re in a cell on death row, as our new friend here loves to bring up. Asking about the “really bad guy” on death row that waited his whole life to get right with God brings us to the main point:
We’re all on death row.

JAMES BOCCARDO From years of talking to everyone from satanists to
atheists, he has learned some tricks of the trade. James speaks at
conferences, classes, and churches about what the gospel is and
how to share and explain it to others.
He graduated with highest honors from UNC Chapel Hill and initially
pursued a career in investment banking. He is currently pursuing
his M.A. in Biblical Studies while speaking and teaching and can be
