Destiny by Design is a sermon in poetry.

The author’s goal is for readers to be encouraged and blessed as they read this book, inspired to live life to the fullest. Life is to be enjoyed, not just lived.

The author’s prayer is that many readers will dare to walk out their dreams, hope, and desires.

She encourages readers to never give up or give in; if you have faith, you can make your dreams come to pass. Enjoy, embrace, and celebrate this journey called life. You have talents, gifts, and desires to be used in the kingdom of God. Use the tools that have been given to you.

About the Author

Yvonne Rivers is a native of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. She graduated from C. A. Brown High School and later from Rice Business College, and is a member service representative at a utility company.

Yvonne is married and has four children. Her husband, Arthur, has been very supportive as she embarks on her publishing ventures.

A minister at Lord of the Harvest, C.F.C. in North Charleston, South Carolina, Yvonne has been writing poetry for more than twenty-five years. She loves to encourage people and let them know that better is possible.

Yvonne’s favorite saying is “I’ve come this far by faith.”
