Jerry Adams is a member of a Southern Baptist Convention member church and a Bible student and teacher. He teaches Jesus Christ crucified and resurrected and coming again as King of kings and as Lord of lords.
His faith and his trust and his hope are in Jesus, the Christ and Son of the living God, and the only way to salvation by virtue of God’s grace. Jerry has been born again in the Spirit.
He believes in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit as one God in three persons. He believes that God created man, the world and all things.
He believes that “God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son [Jesus Christ], that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
He believes that Christians are believers who have been saved by faith unto good works, and that good works based on loving God and loving others are evidence of true faith.
And he believes that the resurrection of Jesus Christ from death back to life, never to die again, is proof of the promise of a future resurrection of all men and a coming day of judgment – a judgment of works for believers and a judgment of damnation for nonbelievers. Jesus said, “He that believeth and is baptized [by the Holy Spirit] shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” (Mark 16:16)
Jerry believes in dispensational theology and in the restoration of Israel, with Jerusalem as the future capital of the Millennial kingdom of Jesus Christ.
He is watching for the rapture of believers by Jesus Christ, and believes that it will be followed by a seven-year period of tribulation on earth and then a return to this earth by Jesus Christ with all the saints to reign for a thousand years before this world passes away and all things are made new. (II Peter 3:10 & 13)
His non-published works include an Expounding Christianity series and a Prophecy series which he has distributed to class participants, family members and others.
Jerry married his high school girlfriend in 1965 after graduating from college. They have two children, four grandchildren and a great grandchild.
In 1971, Jerry co-founded a CPA firm, which with God’s blessing, soon became a top 100 firm in the profession. He was managing partner of the firm for thirty years, became the firm’s senior partner, and continues to practices as a CPA.
