When the impact of divorce comes into a season of life,
we understand that it may feel overwhelming at times.
The journey of divorce brings to life what we refer to as,
“Divorce Dizziness”.

The questions and concerns may cause us to feel a bit dizzy.
The discovery, the documents, the details and the delays.
Yes, we call it “Divorce Dizziness.”

Be assured that you will get through this.
One day at a time.

This kind of “Dizziness” will last only for a season.
You’ve been thinking. Seeking counsel. Considering.
Puzzled how to move forward.

This is a good time to begin to take note.
This chapter will introduce you to what we refer to as
"Calendaring.”
Let us explain.

During this time of “Divorce Dizziness,”
the rush of daily tasks,
various details and specifics may escape your mind.
Your thoughts are full.

Here’s how to keep it all together.
“Calendaring.”

Be better equipped with a calendar dedicated to this
ONE specific function.
Your calendar will be your dedicated tool
to help keep track of the divorce process.

You will find the days ahead will fly by.
Your days may become more like a “blurrrr.”
Step by step, you will get through this.
And calendaring will help you get there.
Your calendar will keep the details of the divorce process
organized for your reference.

For most of us, when in a time of change or during a time of concern,
we’ll call our mother, or sister or brother or best friend.
Good idea.
Those close to you care about you and can be a very important
shoulder to lean on. We all need to call on someone that we can
depend on to help us through life’s challenges.
Family is a great place to get some help!

In addition to calling on family for sharing and caring,
let us be a help.
We are Divorce Buddys.

This reminds me of one of our Divorce Buddys.
We’ll call her Hope.

(Hope is a fictitious name, all of our clients
remain confidential, as we honor
our “Golden Seal of Trust”.)

Hope had been trying to hold her marriage together.
While crying her heart out, after years of a troubled marriage,
one day, Hope came to her conclusion.
Their seven year marriage was broken beyond repair.
Hope decided that the condition of her marriage had reached
a point that was too hurtful and too unhealthy for her to continue.

But Hope did not know where to go from there.
She wondered how to move forward.
She did not know where to begin.

Whenever Hope called on her sister for help, it was a good call.
Her sister listened to a variety of questions and concerns.

It’s a natural benefit that Hope would feel better after a long talk,
because she expressed her thoughts and received some comfort.
But Hope needs more than that.

With every phone call, Hope shared her tears,
her fears and various comments of concern.
Hope needs to keep track of all this in order to continue
to make progress.

After her phone call is over,
how should Hope continue from that point?
