"You really shouldn't poke fun at another pig, just because she's different from you," said the wise old owl (who had a habit of listening in on the conversations going on around the barnyard).
"Oh yeah, old bird?!" snorted some of the pigs. "What do you care if we tease her a little?" they asked. "It's not like we are making fun of you." "Actually, that is where you are wrong. I too am different. The differences that Cincy has from the rest of you may be helpful someday." At this the pigs all looked at each other, very confused over what owl had just told them.
They had known owl for a very long time now, and had never noticed him being different from any other owl. They also could not imagine what could possibly make a flying pig be helpful someday.

About the Book
Cincy the Flying Pig is a very special pig with a special ability, but will others see her talent as something special? As you read this book about how Cincy overcomes adversity because of her difference from everyone else, it is my hope that we all learn the lesson that just because someone is different from us, doesn't mean they should be teased or treated any differently than you or I. After all, you never know when that difference might come in handy someday.
About the Author
Jennifer Elig is a Batavia, Ohio based author. She is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University where she majored in Elementary Education and went on to teach first grade students in Ohio. Jennifer is also an avid animal lover and has owned a horse, several dogs, a variety of other small animals and now has two cats (one of which is featured in her book entitled "A Cat's Life/La Vida de un Gato"). From childhood, she has enjoyed writing stories, both on her own, as well as with her students in the classroom. Jennifer currently lives in Ohio with her husband and two children. Her passion is to serve God and serve others.

Sophie Cain is a homeschool student with a passion for art and literature. She enjoys writing and dreams of become a full-time author/illustrator. Sophie is the oldest of five children. She also loves animals and is a vegetarian.
