At WestBow Press, we care about our authors’ publishing experiences. WestBow Press complaints are few and far between but are always handled in a timely manner with care and professionalism. We pride ourselves on customer service and providing quality publishing services to our authors. As a BBB-Accredited business, we are in contract with more than 7,000 authors and have brought nearly 4,550 titles to market.

Royalties Questions

We receive many questions from our authors about how royalties work and we take these questions very seriously. Royalties are paid on a quarterly basis (four times a year), once your royalty earnings have reached $75.00 or more, as is described in our author publishing agreement. If you choose to receive royalty payments via direct deposit instead of a check, then the $75.00 threshold is not required. Since WestBow Press is a publishing services company, we do not pay advances. Royalties are based on the payments we actually receive from the sale of books. Sales Figures and Reporting

WestBow Press authors are able to view their sales records in the Sales and Royalties section of My Account. We provide two reports: quarterly reports and monthly reports. Quarterly sales reports are provided four times per year in coordination with royalty payments and reflect the final, audited sales numbers. It takes a little time for external retailers to report sales information to us, so it is not updated in real time and may take up to 60 days after the close of the royalty quarter for sales information to be posted to My Account. Your monthly sales reports are updated monthly, with approximately a one and a half to two month lag before you will see it in your account.

WestBow Press’ association with Thomas Nelson & Zondervan also makes it possible for us to offer exclusive services and special promotions to our authors that are not available through any other self-publisher. We have hosted Women of Faith writing contests where the grand prize winners receive a publishing contract with WestBow Press. Throughout the year, WestBow Press offers the chance for authors to promote their book at Women of Faith events. Our authors can hold a book signing or showcase their e-book in the WestBow Press BookStub Gallery.
