Synopsis
There is a culture and educational war for the minds of Christian and non-Christian young people that has been waged for almost 100 years. This war is intellectually based and threatens to destroy their faith, weaken the church and the very foundations that made America. To Know With Certainty is in response to that war. It is a first step in fighting back. It is directed at graduating high school kids and to parents who are concerned about not being able to counter intellectually those with opposing worldviews who do not know with certainty but would ridicule and scorn the Christian faith.
Lack of knowledge is at the root of the inability to intellectually engage in a defense or to contend for the faith. The absence of knowledge creates doubt concerning the foundations of the faith and the country. On the other hand doubt that is overcome with knowledge and understanding to produce produces confidence and commitment to a strong faith. For those who are honest seekers of truth backed by evidence and given the vast amount of resources available today to seek out that evidence there is no excuse for not knowing the truths of the Christian faith and the foundations of the nation. This book provides a one stop start to get the answers to the big questions that sow the strongest seeds of doubt.
Through twelve disciples who knew with certainty (Jn. 17:7), Jesus built a community of billions of believers. When an informed mind and a heart of faith are in sync, one can confidently engage intellectually with anybody to defend or contend for the faith.
After introducing data that lays out the current status of the war To Know With Certainty in two parts with eight chapters addresses Apologetics and Church History and then The Convergence of Science and Biblical Truth.
This book prepares the reader to:
1. Know the evidence for the existence of God and how God speaks and how to speak back;
2. Know the evidence for Jesus as an historical person, His death and resurrection.
3. Know the evidence for the authenticity and reliability of the Bible.
4. Know the historical evidence for the role that the church played in Western Civilization and in the making of America.
5. Know the evidence supporting naturalism and the Theory of Evolution versus the cosmological and scientific evidence that supports God as creator of the heavens and the earth and as the creator of man.
6. Know God’ precreation plan and purpose.

For believers the result will be a life of living confidently in the faith. For the non-believer it is hoped that by weighing the evidence faith becomes the choice.

About the Author
A native Virginian and a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute, Lee also has an M.S from George Washington University and Ph. D. in chemistry from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. His career consisted of 40 years in the research and development of pharmaceuticals and biotechnology products including the positions of Board Chairman, CEO and Chief Science Officer. He has over 40 publications and patents and contributed to the development of 10 marketed therapeutic products. In a dual career he was an artillery, chemical and military intelligence officer that included two commands over his 26 years in the active and reserve US Army retiring as a Colonel. Lee and his wife, Marilyn, of 51 years had four boys and six grandchildren. He is remarried to Nancy and they reside in Fort Myers, FL. He gave his life to Christ at age 10. For years he has been researching and developing narratives on how the evidences from the sciences and history converge with the truth of the Bible. He believes that a better intellectual understanding of the evidences is critical to better appreciating the sovereignty of God. As a result students and adults alike will better defend and contend for their faith in a culture that increasingly sees them as irrelevant. Both the Church and the Nation are in critical need of a revival in this area if they are to flourish in the future.
