The Story of Joseph
Joseph was a little boy who grew up to be a wise man,
He was hated by his brothers but for Joseph, God had a bigger plan.
His father’s name was Jacob and his mother’s name was Rachel,
He was the favorite of all the sons and to God he was most faithful.
To express his love for Joseph, Jacob made him a very special coat,
It was so beautiful, bright and colorful his brothers thought he was a showboat.
The colors were black, red, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red,
Joseph’s brothers became so jealous and angry that they wished Joseph dead.
The Story of Noah
Have you ever wondered where rainbows come from?
They were created many years ago as a promise from the Godly One.
There was a man named Noah who was 600 years old,
Who trusted in God and did what he was told.
Noah had a lovely wife and three strong sons.
Their names were Japheth, Shem and Ham was the youngest one.
The Story of Jonah and the Whale
Jonah was a man of God and a prophet who was sent
To tell the people of Nineveh that God was not pleased and to repent.
He was to tell them that God was not happy with their ways
And if they did not listen and obey, it would shorten their days.
But Jonah didn’t want to go to Nineveh and help the people there.
He thought he could get away from God and go elsewhere.
So, Jonah decided to go to another place and boarded a different ship.
He thought God would not find him so he took a nap on his trip.

About the Book

About the Author
Leetress M. Burris developed a love for writing at a very early age. Her journey began with reading books from the library which her mother worked. She discovered that she could go anywhere in a book by using her imagination. This led her to writing poetry, short stories and eventually, her first book. Ms. Burris is an elementary school teacher and resides in Delaware. She enjoys spending time with her family including her four-legged furry child, Snuggles, attending church services, reading, writing and traveling.
