“The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens. By His knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew” (Proverbs 3:19–20).
Proverbs 3:19 refers us all the way back to Genesis 1:1, probably the most commonly known verse in the Bible. Even nonbelievers can quote this one. It is also the verse that Satan has worked the hardest to discredit. A father and mother in Solomon’s day could teach their children that God created the heavens and the earth without being challenged. In fact, it has only been within the last century that the United States government has revoked absolute parental authority in our once-Christian country. Thanks to a string of consecutive Supreme Court decisions, the children of Christian parents are taught in public schools that God did not create our world. What this does is to make it the official policy of the United States of America to teach our children the Bible is nothing more than a storybook. This is an action for which America will be judged!
Matthew 18:1–6 issues a severe warning to those who harm a child. The teaching of evolution points a child toward a belief in science, rather than toward a faith in an all-powerful Creator. Whenever you encounter a fellow human who tries to convince you the Bible is flawed, observe his actions and mannerisms closely so that you can learn to identify those who belong to the propaganda division of Satan’s gang. Those who worship science are usually very educated and often skilled in the art of debate. These are the ones who write many of the textbooks from which our children are taught from in America’s politically correct school system. They, like Satan, have no interest in having a fair debate, so they discredit and then shut down any new evidence supporting the biblical account of creation. Science, politics, and America’s judicial system now determines what our children will be taught in public school. What seems to be forgotten is that God created science, making Him the first scientist. It was God who established the laws of motion and electromagnetism. It was God who created the proton, the building block of His creation. God established all of this for humans to learn about it, and use it to benefit by. It was satanic suggestion that caused men of science to discredit Gods work, and then take credit for their false theories—some of which are now taught to our children as fact!
Both the Bible and secular history books provide us example after example of human stupidity. We wonder how a pharaoh could again challenge the God of Israel by sending his army into the Red Sea in pursuit of Israel, after seeing Egypt devastated by the plagues. We wonder how a man like Leonardo da Vinci could have been condemned and then imprisoned for believing the world is round. It was only about five hundred years ago when men were needlessly dying after surgery because doctors had not washed their hands! The book of Leviticus instructs Israel to wash and to be clean and to burn the bedding of a leper. This is because God, the Creator of the still-uncounted solar systems, also created the unseen world of microorganisms. He understood how disease and infections are transmitted long before man did. It was the middle of the twentieth century before the majority of American men were being circumcised, but God had His chosen people doing it four thousand years ago. As Christians, we must wonder, “Why is America turning her back on God?”
Proverbs 3:20 is Solomon’s comment on Genesis 7:11, which tells us “all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.” The Bible says it rained forty days and forty nights, but evolutionists avoid commenting on Genesis 7:11, which describes a collapse of the inner earth. Could this be describing the rearrangement of inner layers of stratus within a cooling planet and the water being formed from all the condensation rising to the top of that planet’s surface, increasing the size of its oceans? The evolutionists want you to think that it was sheer luck that the ancient writer of Genesis provides us an accurate account of what happened to form this planet. How many thousands of years was it after Moses wrote these words before science came up with some similar ideas? How many times have scientists rewritten or reversed their beliefs? God has never revised the Bible. Only He can produce and preserve a literary work, written over a period of fifteen hundred years by at least two dozen different writers.
The evidence is overwhelming that an intelligence other than that of mortal men was responsible for the knowledge and wisdom contained in the Bible. In depth biblical study will reveal countless predictions of historic events that were later fulfilled. The mere fact that Israel still exists as a sovereign nation, despite being surrounded by Arab nations who all hate Judaism, should be enough to convince any unbiased mind that the Bible is indeed the inspired Word of God.

About the Book
The “Words of Solomon” is an in depth study of the first nine chapters of Solomon’s Proverbs, as recorded by the Old King James Bible. These are the chapters which provide a continuous narrative that is told from the perspective of a Hebrew father instructing his son to pursue Wisdom through obedience to God’s law. The remaining chapters of Proverbs go on to address a wider array of random godly principals and their practical application to human life on earth.
In an effort to better understand these ancient teachings, the father/son relationship between Solomon and David is first examined, and found to be lacking. Like many fathers of today, King David was a very complex and busy man, but he was also the only man described by God as a “man after my own heart”. The Proverbs show us that Solomon had devoured his father’s own writings, the psalms, and incorporated them into an easier understood text, which was then chronologically arranged as a manual for a functional father/son relationship.
It should be no surprise that Israel’s wisest king wrote a literary masterpiece capable of being interpreted on multiple levels of understanding. Solomon’s hidden nuggets of precious wisdom, written three thousand years ago, are brought to the surface to transcend the boundaries of time, for a twenty-first century application. Reading this book will convince all of Wisdom’s students that “mining” Solomon’s gold is a very worthy pursuit.
About the Author
Unlike most biblical writers, Wayne Graham is not a pastor and he possesses no theological degree. In fact, he possesses no degree of any kind. What he does possess is an intimate knowledge of the effect of sin from the perspective of a recovering alcoholic, who has been delivered from the pits of self-pity and depression by the Living God of Israel.
At an early age Wayne rebelled from the teachings of his Christian parents and the church they regularly took him to. He soon sought freedom from the boring virtues and discipline of both; his parents and Christianity. It did not take long to be introduced to a rebellious lifestyle in America’s public school system.
By age fifteen, Wayne was experiencing weekly alcoholic blackouts, which enabled him to escape the guilt he later learned was the conviction of God’s Holy Spirit. This conviction, and firm legal encouragement, eventually landed Wayne in the fellowships of Alcoholics Anonymous, and Narcotics Anonymous—where he was re-introduced to the Living God of his mother and father.
After thirty years of real freedom from the sins of addiction, nothing has helped Wayne understand Satan’s methods of entrapment, and God’s means of liberation better than these first nine chapters of Proverbs. He believes an understanding of Solomon’s Proverbs can help teenagers and young adults avoid the very mistakes that consumed his youth.
