Introduction
In her book Shattering Your Strongholds, Christian author Liberty S. Savard writes, “A stronghold is what one uses to fortify and defend a personal belief, idea or opinion against outside opposition. A stronghold is the fortification around and defense of what you believe, especially when you are dead wrong.”
In this study, I will examine spiritual laws regarding strongholds. My goal is to teach you to recognize these principles found in the Word of God and to see how they affect your life for better or for worse. With the help of the Holy Spirit, I will also teach you how to destroy these strongholds, creating the atmosphere for the Holy Spirit to take you into a deeper relationship not only with Himself, but with God our Father.
This study will require determination, perseverance, and self-sacrifice on your part. You will have to seek God to find answers to your issues. I hope to provide you with the tools for this journey.

“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints” (Ephesians 1:17–18 KJV).

About the Author
The birth of Recovery Outreach Ministry in 1991 was the result of my own need for healing and wholeness. The process toward recovery and wholeness that God had started in my own life sparked the desire to help others who were experiencing repeated patterns of dysfunctional behavior. Having begun this process, I was anxious to be a part of God’s plan to offer them solutions to their pain.
Through guidance from the Holy Spirit, I was led to the Word and to many Christian tapes and books dealing with all types of dysfunctional behavior. Whether this behavior resulted from the abuse of food, sex, alcohol, or mood or mind-altering chemicals or from incest, rape, damaged emotions, or unmet needs, I discovered that the answers were in the Holy Bible. They were there all along just waiting to be discovered so that I could gain freedom and become all that God had called me to be.
I am available to share with you or your group the life-changing principles found in the Word of God that have led to my own recovery process. A graduate of Therapon Institute, I am a certified belief therapist and am available for counseling on a one-on-one basis.
