God is more concerned about redemption than judgment and He is calling His people, the church and the nations to repent and turn from their wicked ways and return back to Him in “first love.” We have been given a commandment in both the Old and New Covenant, to love God with all of our mind, soul, will and strength and to love others as we love ourselves. Unfortunately, such love is lacking. Many are crying out for revival, but unless there is a turning back to first love with sincere repentance, there will be no substance for the fires of revival to be ignited. To love God and others His way, we must understand God’s intentional love toward humanity, and respond to His love before we can give His love away. God is very intentional in His love for humanity. When the church returns to ‘first love,’ by responding to His love with her whole heart, soul, mind and strength, then chooses to give His love away, who knows if God will rend the heavens and come down in power, thus ushering in a revival that will blaze through our churches and nations bringing the much needed healing to our lands.
