Children are very straight forward. They don’t beat around the bush. This one youngster asked me, “Do you dream in color?” I never thought of it like that but as I had once been able to see I did dream in color. The only thing that happened is, as I would run into a lot of people, I would recognize their voice but in my dreams I would not see a face. I would not know what color of hair they had or their eyes or a lot of things about them. I just would hear their voice and see their body but not their face.

About the Author
E. Mike Lorance is an outdoors columnist for the Daily News Journal in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He was born and raised in Murfreesboro and lives there in the home he shared with his wife Ruby until her death in 2006. He has a daughter, son-in-law, and five grandsons.
Patricia Floyd is a first-time author at the age of seventy-one. She is a native of Jackson County, Tennessee, and lives in Murfreesboro with her husband, Don. They have a son, daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren.
