When God is first in our lives, He replaces our worries and doubts with faith and trust in Him. It is amazing that when we take a step of faith by deciding that God is able to do great things in and through us, awesome things happen! In our minds we often attempt to put God in a box. We take Him out and show Him off like He is ours to control and use as we please. For a few hours a week at church we let Him out and let Him rule our lives. And then, after only a few short hours, we return to “normal life.” We put Him right back in the box we have created and forget about Him.
How disgusted the Creator must be with the way that His creation often treats Him. Too many times we forget that the King of the world is not ours to use as we please. He does not belong to us. He is not our pet. He is the Almighty God of untold galaxies. He is not in our hands, we are in His hands. We cannot fit the infinite, untamable God into a box.
Our perspective of the Almighty is flawed. Yes, we pray to Him, but the majority of the time our prayers are centered towards ourselves. Dear God, please bless me. Dear God, please heal me. Dear God, please fix all of these problems in my life. Many times we only go to God either out of a lifeless habit or because we want something from Him. Because of this, we are missing the entire blessing of prayer. The fact that we, who were once enemies of the Lord, can freely talk to Him is an honor that we take for granted.
When did we forget that God is the King of the world? He owns everything. He is omnipotent. He alone is sovereign. He hangs the world on nothing. Almighty God is the sole orchestrator and operator of all creation. He has always been and will always be. The wonderful thing is that, in Christ, we have access to all that He is! You see, once Christ is our life, God’s Word says that we belong to Him. He will one day be Savior and Lord of all, and we must determine to make Him Savior and Lord of our lives now.

It explores the depth of scripture to show readers the true meaning of Christianity. Christ is not merely a part of your life. Christ is life, and all Christians should live in a way that reflects his great and perfect will.
About the Author
In the summer of 2013 Nate had a desire to use social media as a platform for sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Out of this desire birthed his Instagram account @christ_islife. Little did he know how much the Lord would bless his efforts. Through this social platform he has been able to lead dozens to Christ over the past few years as well as offer counsel on a weekly basis to many of his 43 thousand subscribers.
Nate has surrendered his life to become a foreign church planting missionary. He is 18 years old and plans to attend Our Generation Training Center in Alpharetta, Georgia. He has a great desire and hope in Christ that he will be able to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to people in foreign lands that have never heard. He and his family currently reside in Knoxville, Tennessee.
