Majestic Night
As I had sat down to rest and pause,
I was not thinking of Santa Claus--
But, of the children--who lay at my feet.
Near the bright tree, they were fast asleep!
Surely they were dreaming of Christmassy things,
Of treasured gifts and all that gleams!
I felt the beauty the tree exuded--,
Decored* with lights and shiny cuties!*******
Warm tea near my hand, a book nearby-
-
With gratefulness, a tear fell from my eye.
I thought of Baby Jesus,
And how He slept His First Night.--
And how the Angels kept Him,
As His Stars did shine so bright!*******
Lying in a manger, so meek, so mild,
Was Christ Jesus, our Savior--a God-and-Human Child!
His sleep was Holy, and it seemed,
That He dreamt the dreams that babies do dream!
So tomorrow, little children, when you awake,
There is Another Gift for any man to take!
For many years ago, the Christ-Child was born.
His Gift?--That our sins He would atone!
NOW, and every Christmas, there is FREE,
The Gift of Salvation, for YOU and ME!
There wouldn't be a Christmas,
Except for His Sacrifice!
So thank You Lord, in remembrance,
On This Majestic Night!
And tomorrow, when we all awake,
The Choice is ours--God's GIFT to take!!!

Love Changes Things
Mr. Impatience walked in one day!
Patience alone, gave him place--
Patience knew at once that this was the soul-mate of Disgrace!
Disgrace then moved rapidly in, and Patience left the room!
All that was left was the Family of Turmoil--
And Trouble was born too soon!
Love then knocked on the door, and of course,
Impatience QUICKLY replied!
Too soon of course, for just one look at Love,
Then Impatience QUICKLY died!!!
Disgrace could then no longer be Disgrace--
BECAUSE LOVE CHANGES ALL!
Patience was revived again
Because Love came to call!

Inspirational Verses
The whole chapter of 1st Corinthians 13 (KJV)
And
Galatians 5:14(KJV) which states,” for all the law is fulfilled in ONE word, even in this,
'Thou shalt LOVE thy neighbor as thyself.'"
I do believe that ONE word is LOVE!
Peaceful Free Existence
My desire upon them that hate me,
Is to see them love the Lord!
To see them as my brother
As we walk in one accord.
The Lord is on my side,
But I must be on His side too.
For 'tis better to walk together in love,
Than to be contentious and therefore fools!
It's better to go to Life's school
To learn about the Almighty Lord,
Than to die in sin's misery,
Or perish with evil's own sword!
Pray Lord, give us wisdom
To live this Life much better,
To be free of sin's heavy shackles,
To rid our back of Burden's fetters!
There is comfort to be had,
There is Lightness for you and me,
For Jesus Christ the Savior
Came to set us sinners free!

To My Aunties
There are special people call Aunties,
And I know I have my share--
God blessed me with good ones,
Loving, sassy ladies who cared.
They blessed me with their kindness.
And showed me so much more--
Of rich beautiful stories
Of days lived years before!
I've heard how they picked cotton,
And rich yellow butter made--
Of pretty hand-made dresses,
And entertaining suitors in the shade!
I've heard of sicknesses they lived over,
That would surely kill us nowadays! --
Of struggles through hard times,
That would make weaker people faint away!
Thank God for my Aunties,
Special people I love! --
For sharing their heritage with me,
And their blessings from God above!

The Pumpkin Moon
The amber pumpkin moon caught my eye,
As it slid across an autumn October sky.
Dark yellow as cheese, and round as a ball,
Its magic seemed to enthrall us all!
Its craters appeared, from earth, as a mouth and two eyes.
The moon looked eerie - and a little too wise!
Formations of clouds gave an eerie sight,
As the clouds tailed grey in the chilly, bite-y night.
A good moon for an October-Harvest night,
Would set people telling those stories of fright!
I told myself not to be afraid of the moon's mystic call--
For it really--is only--a moon--, after all!

On Talent
No matter how small you think it is--
Do not it ignore!
For even the greatest oak tree was born
From one small, hidden, dirty acorn!
The greatest diamond was not seen
At first upon a beautiful hand--
But was first seen with greatest awe
In a dusty, deep mine or land!
Take that talent day by day,
Nurture to demand!
Give it love and encouragement--
Sift it through life's sand!
A thing of beauty you'll behold,
A thing of great delight!
If given love's attention, it
Will grow from small to might!
