BEAUTIFUL WORD
Poetry, beautiful, recites in my ear
Thoughts, pure delight, my mind doth fill
Roses of perfume bring You ever so near
Evening falls softly, You are with me still
Entwining, Thy Word encases my heart
Dispels all darkness and fear within
There’s love, conviction, a Father’s heart-song
Burdens are lifted, no more in sin
Gentle, sweet Jesus, Your word, it sings
Brings with it promise and hope just for me
Speak to my very existence, with silvery wings

About the Book
More than ten years ago, Liana Wendy Howarth began writing children's short stories and poetry, which were accepted for publication through a British publishing house. The Lord had other plans, though, and it didn't proceed.
With time, He has led her through permitted trials, heartache, and long-term illness and allowed the pain, the questions, and the joy to overflow onto the page, bringing Him glory.
It is her heart's desire that these poems will bring special moments to the little ones and comfort for anyone hurting, those crying unseen tears, anyone needing the Saviour … and we all do!
THE BEAUTY OF THE LORD
Soft scents adrift upon the early breeze
Roses adorn the life teeming earth
Rainbow birdlife calls of His glory
Oh! What a wondrous God is He
Billowing clouds roll across the blue yonder
Sunshine peeps through apple trees
Rain soon falls and creation brightens
Oh! What an awesome God is He
Butterflies flitter and flutter so freely
Fruit well ripened, heavy laden on boughs
Perfect colours and shades of nature
Oh! What a glorious God is He
Rays of golden treasure dart across sand dunes
Mountainous regions, white from heaven above
Deepest sea-greens and abundance in oceans
Oh! How do I thank and worship Thee
The tiny veins on a simple leaf
Camouflaged creatures wonderfully sleep
My gorgeous cat upon my lap a-purring
Oh! What a mighty God is He
About the Author
Liana Wendy Howarth, formerly a nurse, is the author of short stories for little ones and inspirational and children's poetry. Interested in writing greeting cards also, she lives with her husband, John, on the Sunshine Coast of Australia and has been blessed with three beautiful children. This is her first book.
