Wife Inspired Evans Man’s Book

January 29, 2012 – Dr. Russ Holloman and his wife Lenora, who passed away in 2008, held evening devotionals in which they only discussed a single word. Those devotionals inspired Holloman to write And Now, a Word From Our Creator. Holloman is a retired Air Force psychologist, private therapist and college professor. He says he became fascinated with their single-word devotionals.

“I told her one day how much (it meant) to me to have discussed those words with her. She said, ‘Write a book,’” Holloman tells the Columbia County News-Times. “I consider each of those separate words sort of a mini-sermon. I have tried to write from both a theological and a psychological viewpoint.”

Including adultery, compassion, feat, grace, humility, and prayer, Holloman hopes the book will be a guide for moral behavior. In the future, he is planning on publishing a book about his marriage with Lenora.

“We had an idyllic marriage (for) 59 years,” says Holloman. “I’ve been given some time that she wasn’t. I have to use it constructively.”

And Now, A Word From Our Creator
About the book:

God wants His children to live righteous, holy lives and gave us moral laws to protect us from what is sinful, injurious, and corrupting. Included in God’s moral laws are rules to guide both our thinking and our behavior. What is right, He commanded; what is wrong, He prohibited.
