Faith Baptist Member Publishes First Book
January 11, 2012 – Voice-over artist Curtis Chamberlain wanted to address myths being taught by many Christian churches. His book, The Judas Epidemic, is a commentary on the Gospel and a rebuke of false of teachings.
“Churches are teaching you can believe what you want to and still get to heaven. Also, there is a works-based theology that you can be strictly a good person and be saved, but that is incorrect,” he tells InMaricopa.com. Chamberlain directs music and teaches a newcomer’s class at the First Baptist Church in Maricopa. He has another book in the works that deals with Hinduism and Buddhism.
Before making the decision to publish, Chamberlain researched his options. “We looked at about 20 publishing outlets and know how respected they (WestBow) are. They are not going to publish something that is off-the-wall.”

The Judas Epidemic
About the book:
Have you ever wondered why today’s “postmodern church” seems to look so different than the church of years gone by? Have you ever wondered what has happened to that “old-time religion” that was good enough for your parents and grandparents, but doesn’t seem to be good enough for people of today? The Judas Epidemic will answer those questions for you. It seeks to explain why the church and world governments are running down the “wide path of destruction” mentioned in John 7:14; who it is that is leading the way down that path; and why you should beware of their deceptive doctrines.
