Christian Author’s inspiring story aims to help pregnant teens

July 21, 2010 - In 1974, while most girls her age were focusing on getting behind the wheel, Lori Ghiata Bowser was faced with a much more difficult decision; one that changed her life and led her to write the book Pregnant at 16.

Her self-published book details her experiences, defends her decisions, and urges pregnant teenagers to consider keeping their unborn children.  Her goal is simple and often a topic of serious debate, but her stand is clear - to restore hope to the young women she said are ridiculed because they decide against abortion.
 
“The … fingers always tend to be pointed in the direction of young ladies who decide to do the right and moral thing,” Mrs. Bowser said. “I know that there are so many girls in the place today where I was in 1974, and it's those girls that I want to restore hope to.”
