Again Grammy, Again!

“I’m bored!” I declared and flopped on the couch.
“There’s nothing to do!” I said like a grouch.
Grammy sprang from her chair with a big somersault
“If you’re bored,” she said, “it’s completely your fault!”

“There’s plenty to do! Look around and you’ll find,
if you use your brain, there is fun of all kinds!”
She put a finger to her lip and cocked her head right,
searching for treasure to bring some delight.

“That’s it!” she announced eyeing a lump on the floor.
“It’s just the right size and so soft it will SOAR!”
She picked up my blankie and spread it out flat,
then pointed to a spot in the back, so I sat.

Grammy grabbed up the ends and pulled with her might.
She pulled the blanket so hard, we almost took flight!
She raced from one end of the room to the other
with me trailing behind laughing, on top of the cover.

We went round and round, as if we were flying
with both Grammy and me, laughing and crying.
Then she stopped quickly and she flopped on the floor.
“Again Grammy!” I squealed, “Please do it some more!”
